Answer #1

When my daughter was 5 months she weighed about 15 pounds. Put him on cereal it will make him gain weight.

My son just turned 5 months today and he had a Doctors appointment. He weighed in at 18lbs and 12oz the Doctor said he is a very big boy or in her exact words he is a HORSE!

Each baby is an individual, and therefore would grow at their own pace. I am sure your baby is perfectly healthy. Allow them plenty of time. By comparing your child to others would not give you the answers you are looking for. If the baby is gaining weight steadily, then I see no problem. Good luck.

Answer #5

The less your baby weighed when he was born has an effect on his growth. 15 pounds, give or take a few, is a healthy weight for a 5 month old, but don’t just focus on his weight … he needs to be steadily climbing on the percentile chart to ensure he’s meeting his growing needs.
