Religious people are scared of science?

Say’s who that the religious people are afraid of science? First you assume that and then make a question out of it.

Yes we do point to the Bible for everything. That’s because it is God’s word. That God who created all this in the first place. He is our master. Why should we be afraid some findings of Humans?

Here is a truth. The truth is that it is the scientific world that is afraid of any scientific breakthroughs that proves to be strong evidence for the authenticity of the Bible and God.

Here is a challenge for those who claim religion is afraid of scientific breakthroughs. Could you list down a few discoveries that has provided convincing evidence that the Bible is true? No you cannot list. Because such discoveries do never gets approved or published in scientific journals. There are many discoveries that have been intentionally put down, not given the deserving recognition under various excuses. Research towards that area is intentionally not supported.

A possible reason for our inability to list discoveries that “prove the Bible is true”, is that there aren’t any.

Not all, but many. The reason is they fear that the breakthrough will disprove their religion, that people will start to no longer follow. & for many it leaves them no excuse to justify their ignorance.

Generally speaking, science and religion can work very well together. Many scientists are very religious people.

That’s true, when you question them, they refer to the bible, thaat’s all they got, and that’s those who know!! Most people super religous because its something powerfull and it works but they are ignorant!!

They are scared because science makes them look wrong.

There aren’t many people against breakthroughs…stem cell research? Intelligent design? There are tons of people who are scared of breakthroughs. The problem is that religious groups have lobbyists and can make policy changes (I.e. school boards changing text books, congress banning stem cell research).

I guess that’s why I vote Democratic…almost solely for the purpose of keeping religion out of politics and out of the classroom. Too bad the religious people have more power and come out in numbers, even though they are statistically outnumbered (by moderates and unbelievers).

No one that truly knows God, is afraid of any kind of breakthrough, they are in fact, wating to see what breakthruogh God will allow to happen next. Any true science will “prove the existance of God”, not the other way around.

So why did all the Xtian people immediately thought Germanflyer is asking the question to them and their god hmmm??? Please xtians considder the budhists and mormans here!!! Remember you all think you’ve got a god who live in your fairy tale worlds!!! All wanna believe there was no such thing as evolution, but see all the evolution evidence, more proof than those in your bibles etc! No one is so blind, as the ones who doesnt wanna see!!!

Appologetics is “religious science”, so far science has only confirmed my faith. With all the research that has been done with DNA and bacteria we are finding some amazing things as to how things work in relation to G-d. There is no sceintific finding that has damaged G-d or the bibles credibility.

Mormans ARE Christians… and this is just another ‘creation vs. evolution’ squabble. Buddhists usually don’t want to fight about anything (pacifists), nor do they have a creator god to defend.

Thx Captain, sorry I didnt go into that bigtime, now I also know. I only had the entire thing put out in short. So does that mean that xtians believe in their god born in Jerusalem and Mormans believe their god was born somewhere in North America, or am I wrong here?

For once… try backing up you ‘opinion’ with actual evidence, instead of just making claims.

Some religious groups may be very conservative and not want to admit changes in almost anything, let alone views about the world (which is where science comes in)

But very many religious groups are open to science. H.H. the Dalai Lama, for example, has said several times that if science proves things to be different from what he had been taught earlier, he would be open to changing his ideas.

And Einstein wrote: ‘Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.’ (It’s in his ‘Science, Philosophy and Religion’)

Most are not in fact, afraid of breakthroughs. Are they out there? Yes. But, there are etremist to any situation. Most will find that science will in fact prove that there is a God. Now, some may view that evolution is not in fact a breakthrough, such as myself, but I do not fear real breakthroughs.

I think a lot of religous groups are afraid that scientific theories (such as theory of evolution and big bang theory) take away the need for there to be a God, or creator. A lot of religous organisations blame the theory of evolution (as well as others) as the reason people are turning away from religion and are instead filling their lives with what they consider sinful behaviour, which in turn is leading to higher crime levels and less of a social responsibilty among individuals. However, I don’t think there’s many people who’re against scientific breakthroughs in medicine and the likes which benefits mankind.

Bible’s cellular structure enchanced with Holy Spirit particles or something? God showing up in the telescope?

Well the Bible says that God spoke to a man named Noah and told him that a flood was about to to come and that he must make a arc to escape the flood. God also told him the exact measurements for the ark. Flood did come as the LORD had said and after it was over the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat. Well one scientist has discovered this ark. The dimensions were as in the Bible. (Well some of you would heard about a boat sticking out of the side of a mountain spotted by a pilot. That was was a hoax. The real one was discovered much further away) Did you see that flash on your news papers. Was there a braking news in the TV? Did any article come out in science journals? No because they would not allow it to come out.

Likewise the ark of the covenant that was also made according to God’s description was also found?

The remains of the chariots plated with gold that belong to the Egyptian army that chased after the Israel people into the red sea was also discovered.

Not only these there are many more archeological discoveries that prove the Bible and God to be true are all suppressed by the supporters of evolution.

But of course you would not trust any of these unless they are either flashed in the media, or are featured in science journals or are shown in Discovery channel.

Open your eyes and realize that you are being deliberately cheated.

Let’s ASSUME what you are saying is the truth, it still doesn’t prove the existence of God, it just proves a story that is documented in the bible.

These SO CALLED discoveries don’t prove God, they only prove stories, that is assuming they even exist. I’m starting to believe that you are watching to much of discovery channel…they sometimes SPECULATE about all these stories and try to connect different historical events…no more tv for you…
