What medication would help my rat's wound?

My rat, Coco has a small wound (I think from scratching herself), and I was reading about how you should apply medicine to it. What I read didn’t exactly say what medicine to use, but what do you think would be the best?

Answer #1

You’re very welcome, if you ever have any more rat questions I’m here and pretty much been through it all so feel free to ask.

Answer #2

I raise rats and have had a couple of wounds to deal with - You’d only have to apply medication if the wound was deep which by the sounds of it, isn’t at all. Just get a damp cloth and whip it off just to make sure it’s clean. Rats are amazing healers so it will be gone in no time.

If there ever is a blood wound just whip it town and apply a little bit of polysporn.

Answer #3

M’kay :) I just wiped it off a bit, and thanks very much!

Answer #4

Also, the wound isn’t deep or anything, and theres no blood. It’s just tiny, and CoCo doesn’t seem effected by it at all.
