Why can't I potty train my rabbit?

I recently Got a Mini rex Lionhead,a little moe than 2 months Ago. When I first got him,he was potty trained for the most part. In his Cage,he’s got a Little Shelter Part,And a bunny potty training box. Lately, hes been Pushing out everything in the litter box,and sleeping in it. And Pooping and Peeing everywhere else. Its really a pain to clean, and It makes it hard to train him. I’ve tried moving his cage around, and rearranging his litter box and home. but nothing seems to work.

Hes also started to pee and poop again when I take him out of his cage. How cna I prevent that?

Dont worry, they are self -efficient. They have the ability to eat their shyt so you dont have to feed em after its first meal (or so I think and pretty damn sure).

Answer #7

rabbits are naturally clean animals I used to bread french lops myself for show as a teenager.

the idea is to let them choose were to go and then put the tray there they always seam to choose one corner to go especailly to urinate. you can slowly moove the tray to were you want but I thik this just adds to confusion …unless you have a house rabbit and they choose your sofa lol!!!

I think if you mainly go for were they pee , you will always miss some

I have also noiced that rabbits like to sit in their litter tray , someone else meniotned that they eat their poo , ill quickly explain this , they produced 2 poos , one hard pellet and one soft qute smelly one , this is because they can not digest all of their nutrients in one go so they need to digest everything twice . it is also to restore the friendly bacteria — well I think thats why anyway

another thing on the litter training , make sure you dont clear it compleatly out while training …left a little wet saw dust or what ever to that they can smell their scent

Why dont you put some Piece of Cloth in your rabbits Cage I know its hard to potty Train them because I am having a Hard Time to do that with my Two Rabbits…I have a mini Rex and a Standard Rex…My mini Rex Learned to Poop and pee In his Litter Box but once in a while the Poop Is on his feet and when he gets out of his litter box its easier… and to Picked up the poop you can Use the vaccum thats what I use when I dont feel like taking apart the cage
