Question for atheist, theist, etc

Like what if you say god’s fake and deny him the rest of your life, and one day you die. And your standing in front of a throne waiting to be judged? What will go threw your mind? And what if they had like a movie of your life playing and you wacthed how you were evil to people or how you judge others or denyed him, and seen how you acted and everything you did was exposed, and your looking at him and thinking wow, like he’s right there and I’m looking at him, what would go threw your mind?

Answer #1

what would go through the christian mind- to find at the end that there was no throne, that there was nothing, that it had all been a clever ruse to get you to submit to someone elses way of thinking?? I am not evil in the christian sense, I am alive within the boundaries of nature, I am capable of compassion, as I am capable of hunting something down and turning it into my dinner. I don’t believe that there will be a ‘golden throne’ it is all cult brainwashing as I see it- golden thrones- golden streets- golden crowns for everyone- angels blowing golden horns at your arrival, through the golden gates- see the common word here- it is a belief that plays on mankinds greed- being utilized in a cult-like manner to entrap followers into believeing they will have riches beyond compare in the afterlife. not buying it- never will. good luck- and believe what you will. I am an EX-CHRISTIAN, so yes I have heard all about the golden everything. it is in nearly every hymnal I have come across. and I used to hear about it all the time on sundays.

candec13, can you please explain why it is that you are better equipped to speak for the desires of the omnipotent, omnisceint, omnipresent, completely self sufficient creator of the universe, than he is?

Answer #3

I can define an arbitrary afterlife that has YOU as the loser and ME as the winner. The fact that your beliefs are ancient does not give them any credibility. They’re just as silly as filletofspam’s IPU impaling scenario.

Answer #4

I beleive god dosnt exist…neither dose this throne you speak of. so I can do whatever the f*ck I want! I have the right to believe in nothing but myself, and you have the right to beleive in something to turn to for all your unanswerd questions. can you really not live with the fact that people can believe in whatever they want?…are you that shallow?

Answer #5

What if when you died you found ourself surrounded by invisible pink unicorns (which you can now see due to your deadness). Because you denied their existence your whole life you face an eternity of being repeatedly impaled on their frightful horns.

To the atheist your God tale is as absurd as my tale of IPUs.

Answer #6

For all of you who think there is no God, there is. He wants you to have faith in him. This means that you believe in him no matter what. And I am a christian. If I died and there was nothing. I wouldn’t feel stupid. I feel just fine. When I die on this earth and I enter into the gates of Heaven and I see my Masters face, living and believing the way I do will be well worth it. That is what I am looking forward to. I would rather live for God and find out there is no God than not live for him and find out that all along there was and that I will be in Hell for all eternity. I will pray for you non believers. May God Bless you. He loves you.

dollar15 asked a hypothetical question. It was not an assault on anyone’s belief or non-belief. It had nothing to do with being “shallow”.

YOU need to recognize the fact that just as everyone has the right to their own belief(s), so too does everyone have a right to express them on this site without attacking or being attacked.

This site is meant for people to have fun but also to have a place where they can exchange ideas with the purpose of learning and helping others to learn.

Answer #8

If this happened to me and I was in my right state of mind, I would be angry at this god for being so vague and not leaving good, hard evidence of his existence. If it were the God of the Bible, I’d remind him of all the immoral acts he had ordered and condoned in the Bible and reject him once again for it all.

If this god forces me to choose eternity in hell or compromise my morality, what other choice would I have?

Answer #9

The same thing that would go through my mind when the tooth fairy slaps my wrist because I was taking away his job security by putting MY money under my kids’ pillows. The same thing that will go through your mind when you die … and nothing happens. You’re dead.

Look, I’ll make an agreement with you. You don’t come up with nonsense questions and I’ll do the same. OK? After all if I am an atheist (which I am) I reject the entire premise of your question. So I will leave you with your smugness and wish you, Good Luck

In Luke Chapter 16:20-31 talks about a conversation that was held between a rich man that died, outside of God, and how he experienced torment, desiring any amt. of water to alleviate the intense thirst that he felt, being tormented in the flames, he asked that someone go warn his brothers, to make preparations to not come to that place, Abraham answered him, saying, they have Moses and the Prophets, and if they don’t believe them, they won’t believe anybody that comes back from the dead either.

This is not exactly the right answer to the question that you asked, but, it came to mind, so, I wanted to share it.

As I get older and remember more and more of my life, that I have already lived, I have come to see how very easy it will be to have our entire lives flash before us in an instant of time. We can remember so much of what we have been thru, with a little help, it will be easy to see the rest of it.

Blessings…

Answer #11

hmm…I die and there actually is “heaven” and I am standing before God after a lifetime of disbelief… there would only be one thing to say, oh crap!

a funnier scenario would be colonel sanders (of kentucky fried chicken fame) standing before the throne of god and god is a big chicken!

I would say the chances of either happening are about the same.
