no I am not an atheist. no I do not believe in religion. I believe in god, but not the god that we are forced to believe in. My god does not persecute homos, jews, buddists, etc. my god will take care of me because I am a good person. I just dont know what it means to take care of me. nothing I can do about that.

Yes, but I haven’t always been an atheist when I was a teenager I was an agnostic. Being an atheist is a political statement because at its heart religion is essentially political. Philosophically, I remain an agnostic that is the only valid scientific position to take. But with so many world problems the result of religion (paticularly the agressive Abrahamist) I choose to call myself an atheist.
