Does age really matter in a relationship?

Does age really matter in a relationship? Should it?

Answer #1

I think it matters. When you think of a 25 year old guy (or girl) going out with a 16 year old girl (or guy) it makes you think that he (she) is taking advantage of the younger one. The older person has had more life experience and normally they are more mature, they should be finding someone their own age that they have more in common with. Would you ever consider going out with a 7 year old? Because that’s the same age difference and that’s disgusting.

However, when people are older and they have more life experience (or at least are of a legal age) then they can do what they want. I personally don’t think that a 60 year old man or woman should ever date someone that’s only 30. But at least they are old enough to make their own decisions and to know the consequences of their actions.
