Is there anything I can do to get my Quaker Parrot to stop squawking at me for attention all the time?

I have a 10 month old quaker parrot who is very attached to me. He is super loud and obnoxious whenever he tries to get my attention. He sleeps in my room with me and so every morning or during the day if I’m trying to sleep, he’ll squak as loud as he can until I open my eyes to look at him or put him in the bed with me. Is there anything I can do to reduce the squaking? I can’t even leave him in a room by himself for a few minutes without him screaming. I’m moving to an apartment soon and I don’t want him annoying the neighbors.

try music, birds don’t like it when its too quiet. If that doesn’t work , try singing softly or talk softly to him. And if that doesn’t work, face his cage by the tv. Lastly, if none of these things work, then try to ignore him/ her, don’t even make eye contact. The one virtue you must have with parrots, especially Quaker Parrots is: PATIENCE

I hope this helped
