What is a prosecutor?

What do they do? Do you talk to one before or after a trial date?

Answer #1

I think you talk to the prosecutor before your trial date. They go over what happened and what you want the result to be.Like if you want contact with the person or not.(As if they were family). Then you sign some papers. There is still a full understanding on google but i gave you what i know.

Answer #2

They’re like a lawyer.

Prosecutors collect evidence against the defenders client to try to show that they are guilty. They don’t collect any evidence that may show they are innocent.

I believe you talk to them before the trial date, so they can collect evidence to prove your case.
