Will I Go To Jail?

Today I was at the mall with my friends, Shiloh, Brandon, Noah, Dylan, Josh, and Adam and we were in the parking lot hanging out. Adam dropped his bike and walked to the other side of the parking lot and about five or ten minutes later we saw him speeding through the parking lot on a different bike. After a few minutes of freaking out we decided to go to the McDonald’s across the street. We came out after getting some drinks and these two guys said one of them were the owner of the bike and that they were calling the cops. They called the cops and we said we didn’t know where Adam went because we didn’t and then they said it was our fault that we didn’t call the cops and that we would all be charged with Bike Theft [the cop told me it was a misdeamenor] and probably have to go down to the station. They then found Adam, arrested him, and let us go. The bike owner didn’t press charges against us but the cop said the prosecutor might sign the warrent and we might have to go to court and maybe serve a small sentence to “learn a lesson”. I’m really scared and I don’t know whats going on, any advice?

If we’re talking about a bicycle, than you don’t need to worry. The cops aren’t going to dedicate their resources to a bicycle theft. The mallcop is trying to scare you. Also, tell your douchy friend to stop being a trashy thief and ripping off other people’s sh#@!

It’s very unlikely you will go to jail on a misdemeanor in the first place. I dont know how old you are, but if you’re under 17 they can’t put you in jail anyways…

The cop was trying to scare you straight. He was correct in doing so, in my opinion. You need to stay AWAY from this guy or you COULD eventually be tied into something that he does. That IS possible and DOES happen a lot more often than you’d realize. Avoid him- you’ll thank yourself later in life.

no I would douth you would get sent to jail it was his fault not yours he was a very stupid boy id say the guards where just trying to frighten you if anything the most you will get is a fine I dont know if you have told your parents about it but you should just incase the guards get there first
