Pro ana

What are your views on pro ana and pro mia? I personally disagree with it. I used to visit those sites when I first developed an eating disorder and I did meet a lot of great girls. However I believe many of them did not have eating disorders. I think the information on them is very damaging to young people especially. With tips telling you how to starve yourself. I don't think most of the pro ana sites are made by people with eating disorders as we do not want people to go through the hell we go through. These sites are pretty sick. What does everyone think? Like do you agree or disagree?

What, so some opeople are "pro" people having a mental disease that kills twenty percent of the time?

Sorry, no...and, I'm closing this, as it's dangerously close to supporting hurtful behavior.. eg, there is NO reason you'd be supportive of something playing russian roulette, RIGHT?

ANSWER #6 of 9

But the thing is when you have an eating disorder you don't have free will to do what you want to your body. No one wants an eating disorder. The people who make these sites exploit people with eating disorders and make them look stupid

ANSWER #7 of 9

Freedom of speech... unfortunately... no matter how sick I find it... You do what you want to your body, but helping someone else hurt themselves is just wrong...

ANSWER #8 of 9

Thats fine, well like they have names like 'starving for perfection' and 'fading obsession' they encourage girls mainly to starve themselves and they glamourise eating disorders, many have pictures of models and very thin people, they call these pictures thinspiration. Many of the people on this site do not have eating disorders and they tell people they do. It may be a good idea to take a look at a couple of the websites just to see for yourself what they are like. Hope I helped :)

ANSWER #9 of 9

I DO AGREE
I DID SUFFER FROM AN
EATING DISORDER
AND THE SITES SEEMED
REALLY GOOD FOR TIPS AND STUFF
BUT REALLY SOME SHOULD BE
SHUT DOWN. THERE SHOULD
BE SITES ON HOW TO RECOVER
NOT HOW TO START HAVING
AN EATING DISORDER.
