Prevention of deafness?

How do I prevent myself from going deaf in the future but still enjoy blasting my music? Is there a special type of headphones that can provide this?

Right now; im using the headphones that come with my ipod..and I was planning to use my skullcandy earbuds next..but apparently; those will make me go deaf because my music is too loud.

I heard something about opened ear? Headphones?

Anyways–let me know what you guys think.

No way around it, if you’re ‘blasting’, your hearing will suffer in the long run - I’d tone it down a little.

Big chunky headphones are better for your hearing and look way cooler too

just get big ones that cover your whole ear so it doesnt go directly in your ear :)
