How do you prevent Break-ins?

I live in an apartment complex and I was wondering if anyone has tips on preventing a break in. I really want to move to this new apartment complex but have read reviews that there have been break ins into cars and an apartment when someone was home! That scares me. Any advice?

Answer #1

I wouldn’t risk it - there are others…Take care !!

Answer #2

Invest in a dog. A big dog. Its know that robbers will avoid your house. Why try to deal with breaking into a house with a dog when the next door neighbor doesn’t have one. If you complex doesn’t allow dogs, then invest in a lot of locks and bolts.

Answer #3

There are break-in’s at every apartment complex. If you feel like it might be more than normal, go to your local police department and ask them to look up your area. Just ask their opinion of the safer areas in your town. Chances of apartment break ins are lowered if you live on the second or third floor. Car break ins are inevitable. The best thing you can do is make sure you don’t leave valuables in your car and/or rent a garage if they are available.

Answer #4

I know how I prevent break ins, when I first moved to my new place. I made sure there were a bunch of people around when I was bringin in my medieval weapons. when you walk by someone with 2 battle axes and an arsenal of other sh*t. you get put at the bottom of peoples break in list. have a guy do that if you choose to move in, it’ll work.

Answer #5

Put a sign up…trespassers will be shot survivors will be shot again.
