Will I go to hell for having premarital sex?

God is ready and waiting to forgive anyone who asks. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 86:5, TLB. “O Lord, you are so good and kind, so ready to forgive; so full of mercy for all who ask your aid.”

Psalm 103:11-12, NIV. “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

I John 1:9, TLB. “But if we confess our sins to Him, He can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. [And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins.]”

Can I be forgiven while holding a grudge against someone else? It’s in the Bible, Matthew 6:14-15, TLB. “Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, He will not forgive you.”

The forgiven are forgiving. It’s in the Bible, Ephesians 4:32, NIV. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Real forgiveness does not keep track of mistakes. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 18:21-22, NIV. “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

When we’re forgiven we shouldn’t continue to feel guilty. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 32:5, NIV. “Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’—and You forgave the guilt of my sin.”

Through forgiveness, Christ provides complete deliverance from the penalty of sin. It’s in the Bible, Colossians 2:13-14, TLB. “You were dead in sins, and your sinful desires were not yet cut away. Then He gave you a share in the very life of Christ, for He forgave all your sins, and blotted out the charges proved against you, the list of His commandments, which you had not obeyed. He took this list of sins and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross.”

If you are in need of forgiveness, what should you do?

First acknowledge your sin. Psalm 51:2-4 “Oh, wash me, cleanse me from this guilt. Let me be pure again. For I admit my shameful deed—it haunts me day and night.”

Second, Ask forgiveness for your sin. Psalm 51:7-12

Third, Believe that God has indeed forgiven you and quit feeling guilty. Psalm 32:16

Everyone does not sin. I don’t know why people make so many generalizations based on what they do. People who lie say everybody lies. People who have premartial sex (fornication) say that everybody does. But you have to remember that there are people being born every second. Do you beleive that newborn babies are having sex? Do you think newborn babies are lying? How about religious people, who are celibates who have a life long committment to never have sex. What about people who are asexual? To say that everyone on the entire planet has commmitted a sin is ridiculous. The Bible itself says that a newborn child is without sin, so how can you say that everybody sins, just because you do. Why do people make these generalizations about all of humanity when they don’t even realize what they are saying? Newborn babies don’t have sex, they don’t lie, they don’t sin. Many people don’t have premartial sex, or even sex at all because of religious reasons. Many people don’t lie or commmit any sins because of relgious reasons. And there are so many people who are asexual who don’t even like sex, so they don’t have sex either, so how can you keep on making such generalizations about the entire human race, just because you commit these sins? How can you assume that everybody is like you when you don’t even take into all of the people that you are generalizing, newborn babies, religious people, asexuals, just a few on a huge list that I will name off the top of my head. So just think about this because I have seen so many people who say obvious lies like everyone has premartial sex, when obvioiusly everyone does not. I don’t have premartial sex. Nobody living in my family has ever had premartial sex. I have known many people who have never lied yet liars will say that everybody lies, when that can’t make logical sense. So it seems to me people who commit a certain sin, generalize that everybody commits that sin, in order to justify their own sin. Like when they say you won’t go to Hell for premartial sex, because then the entire world will go to Hell, but not everybody has premartial sex. I have never had premartial sex and there are millions or maybe even billions of people that don’t engage in premartial sex too, so I think people should stop making these generalizations, just to try to justify their own sins because it is misleading and innacurate.

Here is the Bible’s view. Here are Jesus’s words. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. They are just trying to trying to twist the Bible in order to make excuses for their sins. They want to keep sinning so they are interpreting the Bible the way the want but Jesus says this in the Bible, and this is the truth if you beleive that Jesus and the Bible are the final word.

No, you won’t go to hell for having premarital sex. In my belief you just need to repent since god loves us all and he won’t punnish you so go talk to your Pastor and repent. Hope this helps. Good luck

To Miomiomio: Well I assumed that she wanted to have children since having sex is how you have children. Why else would she be having sex if she didn’t want children. Since God made sex solely for the purpose of procreation and nothing else.

If christian, yes, unless you ask for repentance. If not, well, having sex with somone doesn’t mean you want to marry them, marriage is a big step.

No you wont go to hell for having premartital sex…as stephani said if you did then half of the world should be in hell as we speak.

For me it’s not really a reilgion thing I used to think it was but then I realized I wasn’t doing it for just god but for myself. It’s a personal choice but personally I don’t think you will go to hell for havnig sex before marriage. Just be safe and protected and remeber to do it someone you do love.

If that were the case over like 75% or higher of the population would be going to hell.

We are all sinners. The only difference from those who go to hell is that the saints will love and desire to follow Jesus. They will repent and turn away from their sinful ways…and every time they fall, Jesus Christ is there to pick us back up, “IF” we ask Him to.

You need to tell that to PARADISE, who seems to be yet another ‘bad’ christian who cherry-picks scripture as a means to condemn others, while omitting other scriptures that offer reprieve.

Paradise, saying that there are people who never sin is a contradiction to the very book you base your faith on. Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. I wasn’t saying that everyone has premarital sex, but everyone sins. But Jesus took up our sin when he died on the cross. Because of that, if we have faith in Christ and truely repent, we are forgiven.

Luke 15:7 Jesus said, “In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don’t need to.” We all fall short of the glory of God. But Jesus came as our sacrifice for that. If we truely repent our sins to the Lord, whether sex before marriage, stealing a car, raping and killing a child, and accept Jesus as our Saviour then God will forgive us. Otherwise, the whole of Christianity is a waste of time and we all might as well give up on Christ, because everyone sins. We should all strive to follow God’s laws, but only Jesus himself is perfect.

This is not true. For example let’s say a teen steals a car, gets prison time. Compare this to a man who rapes and tortures a child to death. Which one do you think is worse? The man who raped and murdered right?

Yes, well God sees sin for what it is and He will judge them fairly. In the Bible He mentions that some sins are “enormous sins”. Leviticus 18:22, TLB. “Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin.” Some sins are what is called and abomination unto the Lord.

No, Jesus said that all those who follow him CAN get to heaven, whether they have “fornicated” or not. Remember, all sins are equal in the eyes of the Lord, so why should one particular group of sinners (those who have sex before marriage) be barred from heaven for all eternity? Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour - Get to heaven.

God wants us all to live by what He has taught us. He wrote the Ten Commandments on our hearts so we will know what sin is so we will choose to do the right thing, and we will IF we love Him.

Having sex before marriage is a sin. If you confess your sins and turn from them God will forgive you and make you a stronger Christian.

If you do not confess and turn away from the sins the gap between you and God becomes wider and wider until your heart is hardened and you won’t hear His soft voice anymore.

You can find the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20. I hope you read them and the Bible to understand God better. Learning to love and follow Him is such a joy.

According to the Christian religion premartial sex (fornication is a sin) if you beleive in Christianity then you can be sure you will go to Hell, because God has said fornicators cannot go to heaven, but then again what you beleive in depends on your religion which I do not know. Well, honestly, from a scriptural point of view, yes. The bible clearly states that any from of sexual relations outside the bonds of marriage is called fornication. Fornicators will not inherit eternal life. Marriage is meant for the husband and wife to enjoy each sexually but it also draws them into a spiritual oneness that strengthens the relationship all the more. “And the two shall become one flesh”, ever hear that? We all have choices to make and sometimes we choose wisely and other times we don’t. Let me encourage you to choose wisely.

Since there is no such place as hell, the answer is no. Don’t let the religious zealots make you feel guilty about showing your love to a person you care for, and feels the same way about you. It is perfectly normal. A peice of paper, or a few words said in front of your freinds and family are not what is really important. If you have made a commitment to each other, no ritual should change that.

As toadaly said, have fun. But be careful also. Unless you are prepared to have kids, use protection.

well I dont know weather you r a Christian or not .but if you r a Christian who has received salvation(accepted jesus as your personal savior)you want be going to hell. but the thing is sex before marriage is a sin and your sins will move you away from God and the other thing is As da bible says you will have to face the out come of your sin.
