Answer #1

you have to slowly stop eating meat soo eat less and less meat each week or you could get really sick because of how your body is used to all the protein in meat

Answer #2

whattt? does that have to do with my Q no offense lol

Answer #3

Not in all cases. There are a variety of reasons a person may elect to be a vegetarian or Vegan. Respect to animals is just one scenario. They may not like the taste of meat, others interested in improving their health through a meatless diet, concerns of what production animals are injected with, the ecological impact, etc. They make up for protein with different types of beans, lentils, nuts, along with soy products and fruits and vegies. Actually some recipes are so good, you don’t really miss the absence of meat in them.

Answer #5

There are many reasons someone will become a vegetarian, usually it’s mostly to due with not wanting to hurt animals, and sometimes it’s for health purposes. It usually involves a change in diet, because you have to find different things to supplement everything you’re taking out. It’s not for everyone, there’s probably a reason you can’t imagine yourself not eating meat, you have no reason not to.

thanks:)

Answer #7

Maybe because they just want to become more fit and healthy.

Answer #8

Some become vegetarian out of concern for animals, some do it for health reasons, some for religious reasons, and some simply are emulating vegetarians who they admire. To me the most compelling argument is the environment. Raising livestock produces a great deal of pollution. In fact the single biggest thing most of us could do for the environment would be to quit eating meat. The way to become vegetarian is to quit eating meat. It really isn’t any more complicated than that. Nearly any varied diet that supplies enough calories also supplies enough protein. If you tried to live on nothing but fruit you might have trouble but vegetarians get more protein than they need without trying. Going vegetarian is a big change for many people. I was very much a meat and potatoes kind of guy before I became a vegetarian 30 years ago. Since I quit eating meat I found many new foods I love. Paradoxically I eat a much wider variety of foods now that limit myself to vegetarian foods.
