Answer #9

With a sensible diet and 3-5 day workout routine, you could lose up to 1-1.5lb. of fat and ~1-2lb. of water weight. Of course, this depends on how far into a diet you are. The beginning of a diet, you’ll lose 3-7lb. a week because most of it is water weight and some fat. After a few weeks, you’ll lose 1-2lb. a week of muscle/fat depending on how well you can control fat loss in the diet.

On my 12-week diet towards my first competition, I lost 5lb. in the first 2 weeks because it was mostly water. After the 5th week, I was averaging .75-1.2lb/week and I was eating 500 calories under maintenance with lot sof protein and 20-30% fat intake.
