Can music make plants grow?
It can. They did an episode of Mythbusters on it, actually. If I recall, the sound in general helped stimulate growth, and they found some odd results. In their tests, recordings of heavy metal and hardcore death metal worked better than classical music, and audio recordings of louder, harsher voices seemed to do more than softer, more reassuring voice.
