Piercing my bellybutton myself

I was thinking about re-piercing my belly button again. Would it be okay to use an earring for the ring? I’m just going to piercing my bellybutton at the tip, so the ring would be big enough.

Answer #1

You DON’T pierce ANYTHING yourself. Piercings are meant to be done PROFESSIONALLY… no matter what. If you pierce it yourself, chances are you’ll end up with infections, it won’t heal up correctly, and you probably won’t even pierce it right to begin with. Don’t listen to ANYONE giving you tips on how to do this yourself. Seriously, they’re full of sh*t. They’re NOT professionals and they DON’T know what they’re doing. Neither do you for that matter. If they would claim to be a professional piercer, ignore them because they’re lying. If they were truly a professional, they’d be saying “DON’T EVER do ANY piercing yourself. ALWAYS get your piercings done by a PROFESSIONAL like myself”.

Listen to my advice, I know what I’m talking about. You WILL regret doing it yourself and you’ll be wishing like hell you would have gotten it done professional. It’ll be well worth the price and you won’t be sorry, I promise. By getting it done professionally, you will KNOW it’s done right and you will have a VERY LOW risk of infection if you care for it properly that is. So seriously, DON’T DO IT YOURSELF. Get it done by a PROFESSIONAL.

there mat be scar tissue you can not get through. you may pierce it crooked. an earring is not the correct size. there are many reasons to see a professional. if piercing and repiercing was that easy there would not be professional piercers.

Answer #3

Just get it done by a professional there clean and safe if you do it yourself you will need a thick needle same size as the belly button ring cause if you use a earring that is way to small

Answer #4

I would not do it yourself at all. I think that you should get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. It will get infected if you don’t.

Answer #5

I also think that you should get it done again by a professional instead of doing it yourself. Professionals have the sterile equipment and the knowledge to do piercings safely. They’ll also remind you on how to take care of it, since that part is particularly important.

Doing it yourself may be cheaper, but it’s definitely not safer. Safety over cost!

Take care.

Answer #6

I’d get it done professionally. Better safe than sorry.

But then again I re-pierced a mate’s eyebrow in my driveway a month or so ago and he’s fine. But then again, I’m good. :) It was just hard trying to get through the previous scar tissue. Especially with the difference in gauges between the pin I used and the eyebrow ring.

I guess you’ve got to ask yourself if it’s a risk you’re willing to take.

no, dont be an idiot and do that first off, you have no idea what your doing and theres a lot more to piercing that just stabbing a hole in your flesh secondly, an earring does NOT belong in your bellybutton and thirdly, if your just peircing the tip thats even more stupid that will cause the skin there to die, because you didnt pierce it deep enough so the skin/flesh will turn black and then die also because of the scar tissue it will hurt a lot more if you dont want to f*ck up your bellybutton and have a horrible noticable scar from when you mutilated yourself save up $50 bucks wait at least 3 months so the previouse hole there can heal and get it done PROFESIONALLY its not that hard

Answer #8

Ewe—NO NO NO NO NO Infection don’t do it Yuck

Answer #9

ok first of all, if your going to do this yourself you need to have a 14 gage needle of some kind,( I used a 14 gage horse I’ve needle from fleet farm) and then you need to sterilize it. once this is done numb it first with ice. once it is numb you should push it through quickly about a half inch under your skin above your belly button. quickly slip a 14gage belly button ring in and dont take it out for atleast a month and clean it everyday with peroxide.
