Who else wants to make a petition for felons?

I want people to be aware that a lot of places won’t hire felons, please take the time to find out if the store you are shopping at and or doing business at hires felons and if they don’t and you are a felon, then ban their store…why is it that our money is good enough for them to take but were not good enough to be hired by them? I want to start a petition on the internet and pass it around to get a bill passed…Can I get some help?

Sure I’m down with the idea of filing for a petition. I believe in second and infinty chances to get things right. Please let me know what I can do to help. I myself don’t have a felon on my record but I have a lot of friends and relatives that do and it pains me to see them and you out here strugglin’ for a second chance. It doesn’t make since how “correctional” facilities wants you to get “correct” but don’t do anything to provide you with a fair shot after paying your dues. But please let me know what I can do to help out with this petition thank you.

Like most people, No one sticks together and it takes people in numbers to change things. We need to start a National Association for felonies so all felons have one place to go for imformation and to register to change the law. I know how to do some of this but not sure of all of the processes and it will take some work on or part. It needs to be done, no goverment is going to help us. We all need to help ourself. contact me at smith3861@yahoo.com

Sounds like a good idea. I’ve stopped shopping at stores that had business practices I disagreed with.

A lot of employers see it as a liability. However, most employers are not aware of the significant tax break they can get if the do hire convicted felons. I think if more were aware of the tax break they would be more open to the idea. But, it also would depend on the type of business and what the conviction was for.

Im Artisha from California. I own Brothas and Sistas were a multi-functional community center providers of workforce development, education, and community services. I once circulated a petition to stop racial profiling within the Los Angeles County, and would be interested in starting a nation wide federal petition for second chance offenders who are being opressed by our federal and state goverment agencies. Please contact me if you want to conspire a plan to help our people, thanks…
