Does interest in the Holocaust make me a bad person?

Of course it doesn’t make you a bad person. I think it’s great that you want to learn more about it. I too enjoy learning about the holocaust . I just recently finished a book about it. It’s called Night by Elie Wiesel, it is a great book I highly recommend it. Also you should also watch a movie called Life is Beautiful, it will probable make you cry.

It’s not a bad thing that you’re interested in the Holocaust. We’re currently learning about it at school and although it WAS a horrible thing it was interesting because it was so well planned out and organised but the Nazi’s.

It doesn’t make you a bad person to be interested in it and it’s not really your parents place to stop you.

It is an unsavory period of history but also one that is essential to study. Like amblessed points out, those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We have to understand how tyrants rise to power in order to to fight tyrany here and now.

I recently watched a video on you tube about it and it horrified me. I got taught all about it at school but not the severity. The video I watched made me cry it was so sad. People are always interested in things like crime etc beacause its the unknown for them and I believe that sometimes there is the not inderstanding how someone could do these things that fascinates us.

It’s only by remembering these terrible events that we have a chance to avoid doing them again. By all means follow your dream.
