Do you hate it when people talk to their pets like they are really understanding everything they say?

like basic commands yes, but my mom goes “hi buddy! hi ranger! how are u? did u miss us?”

Yes and no. I talk to my dogs and cat(s) like they understand me but that’s because they probably do. I have a special way of saying things around them. For thing like my gerbil I’ll talk to her like I do with the dogs but I know she can’t really understand me.

Yep now I see them understanding basic commands but not a conversation like did u miss us and things like that

I don’t mind as long as it’s limited, I do it myself sometimes. If it’s all the time, I’d want to smother myself. Rarely is a very good word.

I talk to my cat sometimes i will say “oreo your so fat you need to eat less” and other silly things but i dont expect him to understand me =P

lol i talk to my dog like that all the time,, and he barks back at me like he knows what im talking about :S hes actualy the biggest boss aside from this guy (me) :D

no , some people have a deeper connection with their pets than others, and some pets have a deeper connection with humans than other pets.

Sometimes. My mom does that with her dog o.O She sometimes even gives her a voice. It’s quite sad.

However, when I’m letting my dog do tricks, I know he understands me. All I have to do is say the command and he does it. Though I think that’s a bit different than actually thinking the dog knows everything you’re saying to it.

No .. they understand .. I know they do O.O they just pretend they don’t ! lmaoo no umm , I talk to my bird he is a parrot and we fight like he would yell at me & I would yell back & if I tell him to shut up he shuts up .. but then 5 minutes later he will start talking again.. just like dogs if I say no don’t do that or whatever he would understand .. animals are very smart .. how you think they have .. or had real live bears in movies .. do kung fu moves and all that stuff LoL .. because they understand .. if they can be trained .. they understand !!! lml

actually .. if a dog jumps up at you licking you when you had left for a while it wouldn’t be bad to say oh _ did you miss us , and play around with them .. animals like that attention(: no they cant talk back but who cares they love it !! lmao

No, I think it’s good to talk to your pets. Even though they can’t talk or understand. I talk to my guniea pig all the time and he just listens. He likes for me to talk to him because he know I’m there. Sometimes he just wants my company too.

actually every dog i have had understands more then basic commands i can tell them to run after eachother and they even understand when i snap my fingers and point if the dog only understands basic command its because you havnt tought them anything else most animals are smarter then they are givin credit for dogs can talk to you but not the way you want its almost always body language but then again my dogs are always with me every day all day

No. I hate it when people beat their kids. Or molest them. Or dunk them in chemicals and burn them. But then maybe it is these people who love their pets that are the real monsters.
