Why do people hate the Smashing Pumpkins?

People probably dont like the band because they never listened to them and judged them automatically or they dont find their music good. People have different tastes in music so not everyone is going to like a band you do. Many people love lady gaga but there is also a large amount that dislike her music. Every band or musician has a people who love and hate them it is just how it works

Smashing Pumpkins was my band in 97’ !!!!! lol Im 28 yrs old so smashing pumpkins,silverchair,pearljam,nirvana, etc etc were the it bands- couldnt imagine anybody hating smashing pumpkins! whats wrong with this world? lol

I know man, people who like bad music and ignore great bands like Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, The Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden is what causes our favorite bands too sell-out! If they aren’t making any money, they are gonna starve!

Why such a general statement? For every band, movie, book, restaurant, sport, etc., there is going to be someone who doesn’t like it … if everybody liked all the same things, it would be a pretty dull world.

it’s their personal choice man….its not necessary that what you like wil be liked by everyone….and its not that everyone hates smashing pumpkins….

honestly, i dont know anyone who hates them. most people i know listen to them, and the few who dont listen to them just dislike them..

My mom doesn’t like them because she’s under the impression that every one of their songs sounds the same.
