Why do people hate on others' favorite music?

I agree. Everyone has their own taste and what they like and you cant really critique someone taste. I used to listen to icp when i was younger, now that im older ive just outgrown it and the lyrics dont really do much for me. Although, i believe what most peoples problem with icp is not their music, but their crazy story lines and almost cult following of kids.

I think that people just enjoy putting other people down way to much these days. It seems that people are being almost bullied for their taste in not only music, but clothing, hair colour, favorite food, skin colour, and sports they play. It’s ridiculous. Just ignore them.

I “bug” about it when people take music that I don’t like a repeatedly shove it down my throat as if I’m supposed to appreciate it on the same level I do. I don’t, so get it away from me, the only time I deem it okay for people to play music I don’t like purposely around me is if they’re driving me somewhere. Otherwise I’ll complain.

There are some songs I really dislike, and will ask people not to play them or change the station. Also, some genre’s - country, rap, hip hop or worse of all country-rap aka crap, I really really dislike as a whole, and will try to get people not to play them when I’m around.
