Why do some people say you are nasty, and tease you for wearing pads?

People are b!tches. They will find a way to tear you apart. i would just say “keep talking & this pad will be in your mouth”.

I never understood this sort of thing either. It’s one of those rather stupid things that teenagers do.

Guys don’t get periods, obviously. They wouldn’t like blood all over their boxers and pants either. And if a girl hasn’t gotten a period yet, then she clearly doesn’t understand. AND, ask a girl that has had her period before what she did and used. Tampons are so unsanitary, shoving cotton up your v@g is gross, pads are the way to go. Alot of s!uts wear tampons at my school, and they think they’re cool for it. But tampons are gross, and teasing you for keeping clean is ridiculous.

Thats completely stupid. It doesnt matter if you use pads or tampons, all that matters is that you are comfortable with whatever you choose to use. Using a pad is not disgusting - getting your period is not even disgusting (though it feels it sometimes!), its perfectly natural.

That’s ridiculous. It’s your period and you should be the one deciding what to use to manage it. I was recommended not to use tampons anymore by my doctor because I have been struggling with chronic bladder infections, which doesn’t make me uncool. I personally think people like that are bored, of all the things to be worrying about and you are worying about someone elses pads. Good heavens.

exactly.. even in some states of India people dont know what d tampon is..! I came to know after joining funadvice…lol..

People are dumb..it doesn’t even make a difference which one you use..personally i think tampons are cleaner..but at the same time im too afraid to sleep in one.

it’s none of their buisiness what you wear.i don’t wear tampons yet even though id like to.but it is whatever makes you comfortable.don’t go around telling people you have your period though.because some people can be nasty b!tches and spread rumors.plus it is a very private thing in my opinion to some it is taboo.

You’re not nasty if you use pads instead of tampons. I’m sure most women, even the ones that say using pads is nasty, use pads on occasion. I usually use only tampons for the heaviest part of my period because well, I think pads are nasty. Not that wearing them makes YOU nasty, just that pads can be kinda gross to have to look at…if you use tampons, you don’t have to look at or deal with your period as much as you do when you use pads. With pads, everything is right there in your face and it can be pretty gross sometimes. But, you should use whatever you feel the most comfortable with, and no one can tell you use pads and it shouldn’t really be anyone’s business what you use. Some people may think using tampons is nasty. Whatever. I agree with Janicee, this is just some sort of stupid thing teenagers do. They would find some reason to make fun of people, no matter what the reason was.
