JFK was assassinated in Dallas Texas,at 12:30pm (central standard time)on November 22 1963, by Lee Harvey Oswald, from the sixth floor of the Texas School book despository, Texas governor John Connally was also wounded but managed to survive, seventy minutes later Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for killing Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit, who spotted Oswald in the residential neighbourhood of Oak Cliff, three miles from Dealey Plaza, Tippit called Oswald over to the patrol car after hearing a description of the suspect and after an exchange of words Oswald shot him, Oswald was later arrested in a movie theatre and denied all responsibility claiming he was a patsy, unfortunately he never made it to trial, while being escorted for a transfer to the Dallas county jail, he was shot and killed by nightclub owner Jack Ruby, at 1:33pm Kennedy’s death was officially confirmed by the White house, in September 1964 The Warren Commision concluded that there was no conspiracy and that Oswald acted alone, the best known footage of the assassination was shot by citizen Abraham Zapruder, it is a silent, colour motion sequence leading up to the assassination
