Do people really think saying "iz" "meh" "teh" or anything like that is cute?

yeees! MUM is such a dumb way to say mom, i mean even though british SAY it that way, they could at least type it mom.

Why should we type mom? Im not British, Im a New Zealander but we use British english here. I think mom is stupid. I could tell you A LOT of things I find stupid about American English.

Stupid people write stupid stuff. And there’s quite a few americans who type like morons :P Saying stuff like “Yall beeta kno not ta mes wit meh, i iz the master” or whatever.

Though if someone is from like Russia, Sweden, Norway, or anything like that i could understand them if they typed incomplete things

I lose my brain when people write MEH why do they write that H in the end of the word it sounds like (…..) anyway !

I wich I knew who started that trend so that I could wring their necks. When people spell like that, I always get the impression they are between 10 and 12 years old.

I find it really annoying,what are they trying to do? Acting smart or trendy? Hell no!! You really look stupid and uneducated. I don’t know what’s wrong with these people who write like this,using these words like ma,meh,teh are so annoying and makes the sentence difficult to read.it’s not cute,it’s stupid. Use proper English, it not only takes time to write like this which is so silly but also….YES you look like a child with no sense.

Generally, people usually get annoyed. It’s pretty irritating when you have this 12 year old writing terribly, like they’re a foreigner of some kind. My friend and I would write sarcastically like that to each other; it was funny…harharhar.

well it depends if you are typing it short hand or not. I dont find it cute to use all of those but I do short hand a lot. It’s quicker because I hate typing, that is why they invented short hand. like saying bcz instead of typing the whole word out…or saying smth instead or typing out something! That I can agree too. Using terms like as written above, “Yall beeta kno not ta mes wit meh, i iz the master” now that is something I agree with, its not English…its jive talk…so I can def (see i to it automatically) instead of writing out definitely I rather abv (short hand for abbreviate) agree with that.
So, no I dont think it’s cute to say all that but I am all for shortening the convo(see again short for conversation)

Ive actually asked them a million times why they insist on typing like that. The excuses ive heard, its cool, it makes me stand out, its easier, thats how everyone types, or i was taught like that. Every excuse makes no sense and its wrong. It doesnt so much bug me that they do it, i can just ignore their posts, what bugs me is that they expect people to take them seriously or think they are educated and mature. Mature people can spell properly and dont talk or type like a pre-pubescent.

Its odd how many people think they can stand out by acting the same way heaps of other people do

i say teh but its a legitimate gamers spelling mistake and not done on purpose anymore. i type so fast that spelling mistakes will happen

I say and type mum… To me, mom is just too harsh and demanding sounding. Mum sounds much more pleasant

I could tell you a lot of things I find ridiculous about british english as well. Im an american and allthough america blows, im from here, I was born here, I currently live here, and speak as such. I call my mother, mom, ma, or mother. If youre from American and want to say “mum” who gives a sh!t, honestly? It’s not a big deal.
