Why is it when people have nothing they are happier then when they have a little more more?

Money doesnt buy happiness or memories. Some of the best times in your life have absolutely nothing to do with money - it has to do with the memories that you share and create with your loved ones and the people you care about.

I agree..I came from nothing & i think i had everything…a family that stuck together through thick & thin…where as today decades later, disowned the entire family…because they only got more greedy as my parents earned a living while i was the sacrifice…and to top it all off.. my mother has made it a point to split this immediate family apart where as her & my brother on one side and my father & I are on another…constantly causing drama and unnecessary stress for no reason.
Cant satisfy her today no matter what I try…what i say or do or feel or think is always wrong in her eyes…(ever feel like your hated…I do by her!) was watching a home video of her the family & my dad back in the mid 70’s.. 74 to 75…they were all having parties, get together’s, holiday dinners…you saw how poor they were yet with everyone bringing something, drinks, food, deserts, music & in their basement…danced, laughed and had a great time…then you stop & wonder what the hell happened to those days? greed happened…jealousy happened…revenge happened & finally hate…. That is why I say…it’s better to be happy with nothing then miserable with everything you have ever desired….Love doesnt conquer all…when you are miserable! Money doesnt buy love…only comfort! true happiness comes from being content with what you have sort of like making lemonade with lemons rather then trying to sell them for a buck! maybe I just see things differently…am I wrong?

the people that have more take what they have for granted, the people who have less are thankful for what they have already.
