Why do people do this?

firstly you need to realise that being gothemo ect isnt about being depressed, or cutting yourself ect I DO however think too many little kids and teens think it is about this, so say they are, say no one understands them exept people of that stereotype and its those people who take it too far and make me beleive that it is somewhat like a cult to those people…some people do seriously need help, because they assume being that sterotype is about being depressed or self-harming ect but its not those things are mental and emotional disorders disorders that those people seriously need to get help with when it comes down to it, they have nothing to do with the lable they protray themselves as… but kids will ALWAYS lable themsleves…think of how many kids say there scene right now…and how mayyny of them want to be skater girls or preps …a lot of these kids have no ide what the lable actually means its all just assumtions and then following the diumb crowd that also makes stupid assumptions
