Why do people think 2012 has anything to do with Christians?

I had a friend tell me that they felt that the 2012 end of the world meant not that the world would end, but it would end as we know it. That countries would change (like what is happening in Egypt and Libya) , that big business would fall and their would be a shift in the major world religions. That the popular religions (like Christianity) will lose power, while the smaller religions will gain power. I’m not saying its true, its just a theroy put forth by a friend.

Everyone has different beliefs about that now, so I would not really believe anathing until the time is here, nobody can really predict the future.

I have not once heard that it has anything to do with just the Christians I’ve heard that the world will end, and that Everyone will die not just the Christians anywho I don’t believe it’s actually gonna happen because the people can barley predict the weather for the week

I am a Christian and what you said is true. Christians will be raptured when Christ returns for his believers and then I believe the smaller religions as you said, (new age)etc, will began to take over. The bible predicts the world goverments will fall and become a one world order, and that’s when the antichrist will take his reign for 7 sevens…read the book of revelations in the bible, it explains everything going on in the world right now!

No but the bible can…every prophecy it’s ever made has came true…and I’m talking hundreds. The book of Relevations predicts the entire future to come. If you need help understanding it, there are hundreds of helpful study guides out there.
