How do I deal with panic attacks?

please help me! I have these horrible panic attacks and I don’t know why. I like this guy, and every time I know he is with this one girl or see him talking to this one girl, I feel like I can’t breathe. I feel dizzy and my stomach feels like it is doing gymnastics. this is not the only thing that makes me panic. lately I have panicked when we switch seats at school, I have to go to lunch at school, I go to school, I have a large group of people at my house, I’m not invited to party, I go to german class, I go out with friends, and a lot more of other stuff. if you have panic attacks and youve dealt succesfully with them, please help! im only 15 and I just cant handle this right now because it is ruining my life!

You have the signs and symptoms of a panic attack. When people feel that anxious about ordinary situations, like switching seats, it is a strong indication that there is an anxiety problem. Go to panicaway.com and they can help you.

yes thats good advice thanks… but what about when I go to class or lunch or something… does anybody know about why that upsets me because it usually has nothing to do with him thats only one example!

Answer #3

doesnt sound like a panic attack to me, sounds like you’re just slightly obsessive over the guy. find reasons why things dont matter and focus on them whenever you’re feeling panicky(<—dunno if thats a word), keep in mind that you will still have the stomach gymnastics and you may even feel dizzy, but these thoughts will definitely dilute the panicking and may eventually stop it completely(worked for me)
