How to get my parents to accept my friends and boyfriend?

my parents are against me dating this guy because they don’t like that hes in collage (im 17 and hes only 18) also the fact that they don’t like how he dresses. Also my parents have like a hard time letting me out of the house with my friends because they don’tt like them because they think that they do bad things. But the thing is that I’ve been friends with them since I was 12. So my question is how can I get my parents to accept my friends and boyfriend and convince them to let me out of the house and to go out without so much struggle?

Your parents are just worried about you. And maybe let you should let your parents know your friends better. About the boyfriend thing, It’s up to you. If you really love him, tell your parents about your love, or what do you love from your boyfriend. Maybe your parents will understand.

umm hes like emo and wears girl pants and eyeliner…but other than that hes pretty normal he doesn’t have like pericings and hes pretty nice to them considering that like he know that they don’t like him

I know but they’ve known my friends since I was little I’ve grown up with them. What their mainly concerned about is their influence on me. In response to they guy thing, they just don’t not only not like him they just think that I’m to young to date (like one-on-one dating). Which I think is really rediculous.

pretty much what shantalreid said your pretty much legal you’ll be 18 soon then they can not say nothing to you … and if your going to do bad stuff then your going to do… when your 18 anyways… so they need to back off… just tell them your almost an adult and that you can pick who you want to hang out with.
