Overcoming Panic Attacks

So I’ve been smoking pot for a few years. I dont do it often, maybe like.. twice a month. Well the last two times I’ve smoked, I was in comfortable environments and with people I trust. But the last two times I’ve smoked I’ve had extremely bad panic attacks. This is a first, I’ve never had em before. Well I’m pretty sure I scared my girlfriend from it, and I want to know how I calm down from it, or try to avoid them. I know stopping smoking will probably help, but I’m hoping it doesnt have to be that drastic. And I need to know how I can put it behind me because I feel like it’s taking over every aspect of how I think. After the attacks, I dont feel like myself at all.

The fist couple of times I smoked pot I got the same effects too , likke the panic attacks & stuff , but all I did was just stay calm and after a while it would go away , and I would go back to normal just a little shaking but maybe your smoking too much ?

if you start feeling like it’s happening have someone tell you a story and make sure you really listen to it. if you have the shakes that come along with it, then try getting in a shallow bath that has warmish hot water in it to relax you. sometimes people have this type of reaction to marijuana…it could just be the type your smoking which might be to strong for your body to handle. but the best advice I can give you is to stop smoking it, and find something else to do that could be fun…like maybe drink to be tipsy but not drunk.
