Orphanages

Do those horribly kept orphanages like in the movie annie still exist in the united states?

my husband has some terrible first hand experience with those. unfortunately, the group homes were better than his foster homes.

they’re called “children’s homes” now… and a lot of homes, especially group homes, are not nice places…
