I would REALLY appreciate a professional opinion on this issue.

I am missing my second premolar on the top right, and my first and second molars on the bottom right.

My dentist has suggested doing two bridges, foregoing the root canal and crowning of the supporting teeth. Is this possible? Will there be any ramifications in so doing?

My other concern is - in the event I have to do the root canal before obtaining the bridges, why then would I perform root canal on four perfectly healthy teeth in order to accommodate the bridge??

Please advise me accordingly.

Thanks in advance.

Well, Beth you know, I was kind of hoping that there might be a few dentists lurking around here somewhere! Thanks for your advice. I thought of that option, but I need all the advice I can get.

If I’m not mistaken we do not have any professionals on this site so sadly you will not receive a professional view on here. What you have to do is ask another dentist if he thinks your current dentist is making the right decision. He will probably not charge just for answering a simple question. Sorry, no professional advice on here I don’t think.

Yeah in understand and that’s fine. I wasn’t trying to be nasty I was just saying none of us will probably not have a clue. Sorry.
