What's it like to have an older sister?

I want to know because before I was born my mother had a daughter but she died. My mother knows how upset I get when I think what it could of been like and we are really close because I’m her only daughter now that’s alive.

An older sister fills the gap between your best friend and your mom. She’s nearly always there for you, and will teach you important (and even not-so-important things in life. They can occasionally be a pain, but they’re usually just jealous of you for being the lucky younger sister. :)

Having an older sister really depends on how she acts, she can be someone you can go to for advice and you can always depend on, or she can be someone who bosses you around my sister and i weren’t that close since shes 6 yeas older but i knew i could alway ask her about stuff but them she moved out and now i don’t really trust her since she’s changed A LOT ever since she had a baby girl. But having an older sister is always someone who will look out for you and try to lead you the right way so you won’t make the same mistakes she did. But a good thing about not having an older sister is that you learn to depend more on yourself than on others.

My sister is 15 years older then me. She is a horrid person who makes bad life choices and always needs me to give her money or help her in some way. The relationship we have is reversed. I am more so in the role of the older sister and her thePp younger sister. Every family is differant. You can be close or distant. It depends on each others personalities, how far apart in age you are, how you were taised, ect. The most any of us can do is tell you about our personal relationships, which will all be differant. I prefer my 3 older brothers.

My older sister is a B*TCH! Plain and simple she wont ever do me favours, she is so immature and such a drama queen. Two faced, stuck up hypocrite, everything I hate in a person. We get into fist fights and slanging matches often. Ive always said if she wasnt my sister she would be my worst enemy. Not to say your sister would have been like that though, Im sure she watches down on you and cannot wait to meet you when you pass over. x

idk i have a twin sister but she a pain in my ass sometimes LOL

Answer #6

Im the oldest child of my siblings and im 5 years older than my sister and 10 years older than my brother. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have any older siblings, boy or girl. Supposedly my mom was pregnant before she had me and they were twin boys but she doesn’t talk about it much and i don’t ask.

Well I have a short story to tell about my older sister. To be honest, I used to hate her with a passion, there wasn’t any time of day I’d rather be outside than with her, she was the only one out of everyone I knew that could irritate me up to the point that I wanted to fight her.

Up until then, things between the both of us was a bit rocky but we still had our bro-sis moments. Having my sister was a hard thing for me, considering she is absolutely gorgeous and I’m not. To put it simple, I was the one that made her ego big, at least, as far as my perspective goes, that was the case.

Recently though, since she went to bootcamp, lost her girlfriend of two years, she’s changed for the better. I feel that i can actually be at ease with her and the similarities we both have are really showing. it used to be strangely difficult to get along with her, to spend time with her, or any of that, but now, that she left to bootcamp it’s different. She might not be here most of the time but ever since she came back, it’s easier to be compassionate, caring and cheerful around her.

So I hoped you like my short story… It’s different for everyone but yeah, I think you get the gist of it all :)
