i was wondering that also because i have OCD and so does my dad.
The question should be phrased ‘is OCD a genetic disorder’. No it isnt. Genetic predisposition has a hand in it, but then genetic predisposition has a hand in the majority of psychiatric disorders. It is not like OCD is just passed down through the generations. There’s biological and environmental factors that combine that result in OCD. Pretty much like most psychiatric illnesses.
