Not just on sundays..

Okay, So im 15, And im a christian. I go to church every sunday, and I am a strong believer. But lately it seem’s that I’ve been getting less interested in church functions and stuff. Sometimes when we have a really good sermon, I’ll read my bible all week.. And be really into it. But I feel like as a teenager, im getting more caught up in my friends, and less concerned about what really matter. I go to church conferences sometimes, and I have like a “jesus high” I guess you would call it. But how can I feel like that all the time, like really interested in it everyday, not just on sundays?

And please, no comments about god is not real. I believe with all my heart, and nothing’s going to phase me.

Thanks!

Hey! Me too I understand what its like! I’ve ben their and I was there not to long ago! What your fealing is Satan he want you to get cought up in all these things but the lord says “Luke 4:8 (Whole Chapter) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. “ So when you feel like your putting other things such as “friends” in front of God just say out loud “Get thee behind me Satan!”

Who cares what people say when you say it! They arent the ones who you will be standing in front of for judgement! I did this and it helped! Also To answer the main question.

Pray.

Pray and ask God to help keep you determined to learn more about him and to always find something new to pull you closer to him! But you cant just pray and think its going to happen! you must understand that you need to do your best too!

I hope I helped and I know God realy appreciates that your wanting more and more of him and that your liveing for him!

God bless and if you need answers to anything else don’t be afraid to ask!

read in the bible more about then just what the sermon was about… I know I am 14, and a lot of my friends don’t believe in god but I DO LOVE GOD WITH ALL MY HEART!!! so my friends need to stop worring about what I believe,

We are all human, and we experience good times and bad, times of great joy, when we are on the mountains, when our faith is very strong, then, things change, and we find ourselves in the valleys… of trials and temptations…

However much we love the mountain top experiences, it is in the valleys, that we grow.

Our faith must be tested, and there are multitudes of ways this is accomplished.

When we actually feel Gods presence, it is very easy to follow him, not so easy when we don’t… however, it is very important how we conduct ourselves… at all times. And esp. in the hard times, when it is not so easy.

That is what the faith walk is all about… what we will do, when no one is looking.

Because, God always is, whether we feel him or not.

God wants us to enjoy the journey…

And there are multitudes of ways to do that…

that are healthy, and keep us on the right track, that do not harm our witness, that bring pleasure to our heart.

The joy of the Lord, is our strength.

Everyday – something routine or commonplace Every day – describing each cycle of 24 hours

I friggin’ hate that…

And I call fake. This is a troll post engineered to get people posting about the glory of Jesus. No 15-year-old uses phrases like “less concerned with what really matters,” and no teenager defines themselves as “as a teenager.”

Don’t they have church things on Wed? I have a few friends who go Wed as well as Sunday. If that doesn’t work why not have a family nogith in which you do things related to your beliefs?

Answer #6

UM. Ok, I’m not trying to be rude but you can follow god without 24/7 always thinking about him. NO MATTER what you do how bad you do things or how good even, Remember that god IS #1! Ok, So yeah your a teen and your going to be interested in things and people. So, you can do those things but maybe when you want too or feel like it read the bible!! It’s good to be Christian and believe in him! I’m one too and I go to church with my friend on Sundays too. I mean your a believer and you read he bible and you go to church, I’m sure you pray and tell him that too. As long as you have that speacial feeling inside that’s all that matters!! I say everyday of course pray to him and read the bible even on sundays but when your at church be foccused and have full attention!! you can still do everything you do but other things that you like too!!

Answer #8

You really don’t need to go to church to believe in God. God is in your heart, soul and mind everyday. Even if you’re not thinking of God you still follow Gods rules and plans. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you’re only a teenager. If you don’t go every Sunday, God will still be there for you. I take my children every other Sunday because we use the other Sundays as family time. To me that’s just as important as going to church. God gave me my family and God would want me to have fun with my family. God doesn’t criticize me because we don’t go to church every Sunday.

Answer #9

Thats awesome that you believe in God with all your heart!!! You are a teen and it is ok to want to do things other than go to church and feel a Jesus high. God id what matters and you know that in your heart. God knows you know. God knows how you feel. It’s ok to get caught up with friends and have fun. Just don’t do anything unGodly. And if you do, it sounds like you are devoted enough to know what you should do when you sin.

layashea, a really good tip I can give you is to stand alone after church for a few minutes and ask God not to let you forget, and also to practice whatever you learned. Take five minutes before school everyday, or not in the summer, preferably after you’ve had breakfast and read just one chapter. It will get you in the habit. As you do this, take notes in a seperate notebook and write a short prayer under your notes.

It worked for me and now I am really in tune with God and I have the fire all the time.

At your request, I’ve removed everything from this post about the (non)existence of god.
