not eating

if someone stopped eating, their body would get rid of the fat first, right? so if they started eating again after they lost the fat, then it woudlnt be that bad to stop eating, right?

Answer #1

Almost right, when an individual stops eating for more than three hours the body goes into starvation mode. When this happens, the body begins to store fat around the body. when one has not eaten in over a few days only then do they begin loosing weight because the fat stored around the body is being used to provide energy, when this gets used up the body begins eating away at the muscle and so on. in anycase you would have to eat something or anything because not putting even a single grain in you mouth for days and days would lead to extreme deprivation that the body would become so weak and collapse because it doesn’t have any fat, viamins, minerals or protein to provide energy, strength and to keep the organs working. (my theory- this is if you haven’t eaten for weeks I mean literally nothing for weeks, I’ll put the time in to find evidence to support my answer shortly)

once you begin eating normally again the body will store twice the amount of fat around the body.

Answer #2

No. It does get rid of fat but in the process, gets rid of muscle too. You then become very weak and it is hard to get back to eating. After about 1 week of no food, your body actually starts eating itself alive (I know that sounds gross) which can really hurt your vital organs and virtually impair your lifespan.

Answer #3

if you stop eating, your body will go into stavation mode…means it only will burn a little calories

Answer #4

Believe me, I have problems keeping weight and my diet is screwy from school and work. Please take my advice, just eat when you’re hungry. Period.

Answer #5

Don’t quit eating…just don’t eat so much. Losing weight is totally based on how many calories you take in, and how many you burn off…you have to take in less, than you burn…Eat less…exercise more…Exercise raises your metabolism, and therefore…even when you’re sleeping, your body is metabolizing faster…

Answer #6

Alesha got it right. Muscle goes first, not fat, because it is easily dispensable as energy than fat. Whatever tiny amounts of food you eat will be stored as fat instead of being burned for energy if you start to starve yourself. This is because your body is going into ‘starvation mode’ to get through a food drought.

Answer #7

dunno, but I think it WOULD be a little hard because… ummm, I dunno why, lol
