before everygame I have every played I ALWAYS listen to my favorite songs no matter what. it keeps me pumped but relaxing the butterflies. gets me in the zone that way I can concintrate more on what I have to do than be nerves about anything.

are you religious? if so, say a prayer. if not, try to keep yourself occupied with something else. -even going over whatever you’re going to be competing. good luck.

id listen to music…thats what I try and do…if its a sport and is with others…talk to them and just dont think about it…I know its hard to do…I;m a gymnast and I agree it is hard to relieve the nerves..but just think of other stuff! :)

Positive reinforcement. Remind yourself of how good you are, and how you got to the point where you are permitted to compete.

keep busy! don’t allow yourself to think about what you’re going to be doing.
