What do you do in a Tae Kwon Do competition?

i just started tae kwon do like 2 or 3 months ago and i wanna c what u do in a competition and all the kiks and etc… can ne 1 suggest anything??

If there aren’t any local tae kwon do tournaments, then you can always look at videos of it online at youtube, google video, etc.

The competitions usually involve two basic areas: Forms, which is to say, who can do the form (Kata in karate, I don’t know the term in Korean for Tae Kwon Do) Sparring - where people compete, kick each other, and block, trying to score points or push the opponent out of the ring.

They usually have some board breaking demos as well, which aren’t practical, but fun to watch when they do spin kicks & break boards.
