My son wont go to bed

I have a 2 year old boy who has slept for 12 hours since 6 weeks old, just recently he wont go to bed, he keeps getting out of bed coming downstairs its a battle. When he finally goes to sleep he wakes up once durin the night and the same happens how can we break the habbit what can we do?

heres something that can help: put milk and a microave safe cup/glass and put in like bout 3 pieces of garlic , microwave 4 bout 30 seconds or 1 minute, when it’s out of the microwave put natural honey and it( as much as you like) 2 take the taste of the garlic out, taste it and make sure theres not much garlic flavor 2 it, serve it 2 your son when it’s warm :) it makes you fall into a deep sleep , really works! :)

Instead of druging him up maybe you want to explore why he is getting up and why all of a sudden he is not sleeping. Something may have happened (or may be happening) that you need to find out! Or this could be a phase.

I agree with the NONE DRUGGING a kid!!! I have 2 kids of my own and my daughter went through the same sort of thing at the same age. he may be experiencing night terrors in which case keep putting him back to bed and he will soon snap out of it. the other thing if thats not the case, is he’s developing into his own person and trying to become more indepedant at this age. it is very exhausting but persistance is the key, every time he gets out of bed DO NOT talk to him or anything like that dont even look at him just take him back to bed and walk out the room. keep doing it, every child is different and the length of time you will have to do this varies but it usually stops after a couple of days hope this helps ps try and get someone to help or watch him for an hour or two so you can catch up on lost sleep
