my kitty

Why does my kitty not like to cuddle with me, every cat I’ve had loved to, she follows me everywhere wants my attention, is possessive over me, but whenever I try to love her like pick her up she complains, I’ve never dropped her or hurt her, and she never wants to sit on my lap only my feet, and when I try to play with her, if I try to wrestle with her she does for a little bit, but then she gets pissy. It makes no sense, she always wants my attention and is so possessive yet she wants nothing to do with love and attention. She is a 1 year old Chartreux mix.

all cats are autistic. It’s a proven fact. They don’t NEED attention but some want it. My cat is the same way. She lets me pick her up, but she’ll keep her claws out; I ALWAYS have to be the one to start playing with her; I need to hold her if I want her to sit in my lap. However, I find this way better, she always leaves you wanting more and you never get tired of her always being around you. Don’t worry, she’s still just a kitten and leaving her mother and home to live in some strange house with someone that’s so much bigger and who controls almost everything for her must be scary. As she gets older, she’ll learn to trust you and rely on you more. I found my cat when she was about a year old and I was about three years old. I’m now 15 and she’s about 11. We’ve grown up together and she’s like a sister that I’ve always wanted but never had gotten. In the long run it will all be worth it just give her patience and unconditional love like I did. Good luck!
