My cat Wont stop going to bathroom in the tub?

Ok well we have this cat named charlie a totishell and well she keeps going to the washroom in the bath tub. . Well she started this about three to four months after we got her . So what do I do Her cat box is clean and She has food and watter out so why is my cat doing this . oh and plus we have another male cat he is Fixed and so is she and declawed (both)

Answer #1

Well perhaps they need their own boxes. Cats are random creatures. One may be fine with sharing, but the other is not happy about it. Also she may not like the locations, the type of box, or if it is covered she may not like that…

Answer #2

Well its only my Female that does it and our litter box is in the bath tub but it used to be down stairs and she still did it so we tried the methed by putting the litter box by the tub she still does and we will take her in to see a vet to check for infections and such and No they both share the same litter box and YUCK pees in the sink lol

Answer #3

Keep your bathroom closed? If your box has a lid, try removing the lid Does each cat have their own box? Have you had the cat checked out to see if she has an infection?

Answer #4

Try cleaning the tub with a strong lemon cleanser - cats generally don’t like the smell of citrus.

Most likely, even though you clean your tub, the smell is still in there and your cat is reacting to that…

Answer #5

Put the litter box right next to the tub…and maybe there is something wrong with the male cat (sick, getting old, etc) Will make her not want to use the litter box.

I had a cat named Oreo who used to pee in the sink! Yuck!

Answer #6

Easy solution. Keep 1 inch of water in the tub every day for a few consecutive days.
