Mp3 files

I recently got s microsd chip for my phone, say I can use it as an mp3 player also. I put music on it, but when I go to it on my phone, it doesnt have artist name, album name, only shows the song. So I need to put the artists on there so I can be more organized. So I put the microsd into my computer, so I can put in the artist names. They all show up blank, and I cant click on it to type in the artist name. How do I put in the artist name?
