Is it possible to have an mp3 file playing during a slide show presentation?
I’m using Google docs to do the slide show. I’m doing a project on “Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over” and I want the song playing in the background to piss my teacher off :D

Yes of course. You just need to add music to your slideshow.
If you are using programs such as Microsoft Powerpoint, to the best of my knowledge, it will only accept WAV audio files. If you have a MP3 file you need to convert to WAV, you can download a program such a RealPlayer which features conversion software, which will allow you to convert virtually any file type (video, or audio) into a different type.
