Can I move out when I'm 17?

i am having an on and off stressful time living with my mom. she never lets me go any where and she is sufficating me, my boyfriend has a place that he’s gonna help me pay for, so can i move out at 17. i turn 18 in 2008 but im tryna leave now, i live in massachusetts and am not sure what the law is on that. i will still be going to school and working weekends and after school.

i am going through the same thing.. i dont know about in massachusetts but in the state of Louisiana we have to have our parents aproval.. so i cant move out till im 18

I am not sure if you can legally move out in your state.

Don’t forget that moving out is a lot to think about though, even if it is legal. For apartments, you might need someone older to cosign the lease. At some complexes, you have to be over 21 before you can sign by yourself!

Then there’s more than just the apartment itself to think about. Don’t forget about transportation or electricity, phone, internet, and grocery bills.

I think it’s the best for you to do that in my opinion, go ahead! :) my friend ran away last month she’s only 15, living with her boyfriend. Nothing bad happen to her, she knows him pretty well. You can do the same too since your 17 moving in with someone you know well. Good luck, have a nice day.
