Can I move out when I'm 17?

Well I’m 16 and I want to move out this summer after my seventeenth birthday. How can I do that ?

Answer #1

You have to get emancipated first. Do you have $50 to file a claim in court? That is what it will cost you and you will have to pay the claim even if you are not emanciapted. You have to have a good paying job at least $350 a week and have proof of a place to live and have insurance. So are you ready for all this? There are several other things you have to prove to the court before they will let you move out of your parents home. GOOD LUCK!
