Am I allowed to move out when I'm 17?

Ok so I asked a police officer if I was allowed to move out at age 17 and he said that I was allowed to..doe sthat mean that he is right?

I think it depends on what state. My boyfriend is going through the same thing. A bunch of cops said he didnt have to go back because his mom kicked him out yet the police officer his mom called made him go back. So I have no idea. Sorry. :(

That also means you may be tried as an Adult.

It really pertains what state you live in. Some states are 17, others are 18,19 etc. Before you move out, make sure you have a good paying job, money enough to buy groceries, pay rent & utilities, and a small amount of cash. Might want to think long & hard before you move out. LIving at home might be a piece of cake. Living on the street or w/someone isn’t always the best way to go. In other words the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence!
