How do I get along with my mom when she is unreasonable?

I’m 16 and in 10th grade. I get ok grades, but my mom freaks out if I miss one or two assignments. But the thing that annoys me the most about her is her reactions towards my dad. My parents have been seperated for a few years and when ever my dad comes over, somehow my mom finds some way to be mad at him. She always complains that he doesnt do anything for the family cause hes /always/(sarcasm) out drinking. But she doesnt even have a job.

you might try telling your father not to drink so much and telling your mother to not be a hypocrite (softly and respectfully, in a round kind of way) and get a job so your dad isn’t so stressed. I don’t know any specifics, but if you have any voice at all with them, you may just settle the argument.

don’t be confrontational. Appeal to their situation with a Daughter -to-Parents (plural is important there) objectivity, that being the two of them at least being civil together. She might stop stressing you about your grades so much if you speak up a bit.
