how do i tell my mom i want to go see a ob-gyn?

im not looking to go on birth control cause im not ready for sex yet. but i read this glamour article about PCOS and ENDO i wanna get checked so bad and i wouldnt mind to go on birth control only to use it for my periods. i got got my period when i was 9 and i never had them normal i would often skip months and my mom said its just normal. but after reading it i became more into it and wanting to see a ob-gyn so bad. how should you bring the subject up and how ca i tell her i wanna go seee one?
